First off, the new Traxxas E-Maxx has the EVX-2 dual-motor power system to send over 16 volts of power to the dual Titan 550 high-torque motors. To keep this system kicking out maximum power, an internal fan maintains the motors at their optimum temperature. The new E-Maxx has water-sealed electronics and waterproof servos and ESC so you can truly off-road with your E-Maxx without worry. That waterproof ESC has three programmable modes: Sport Mode, Race Mode, and Training Mode. Training Mode allows you to reduce the power output by 50% while you learn to control this monster truck. Should save you a lot in replacement parts!
The redesigned chassis is 30mm longer with battery compartments lower and angled in toward the center. That long wheelbase, low center-of-gravity chassis coupled with a new center skid plate increases stability and strength.
Traxxas also installed new battery hold-downs that make it quick and easy to change batteries. You simply press a lever to release the battery and snap it in to lock the battery in. The E-Maxx takes two 6 or 7-cell 7.2V or 8.4V stick-pack battery packs.
